Fund Raising

In the wake of the Sept 11 attacks, the Arab-American Family Support Center, became inundated with both requests from the Arab-American community for assistance and with offers from volunteers and other community organizations to provide assistance. To put the programs in place to respond it was necessary to quickly raise significant funds to support new staff positions.

Work included:

• Developing funding proposals
• Conducting research with other organizations to develop program designs
• Identification of sources of support
• Managing the proposals with the various funders
• Developing budgetary tools and reporting procedures
• Drafting reports
• Budget planning for future funding
