COACHING FOR NONPROFIT EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS AND BOARD CHAIRS
Change in nonprofit board effectiveness can be accomplished through cost effective coaching for the Executive Director and the Board Chair.

Is your nonprofit board:

  • Micromanaging rather than developing strategic solutions?
  • Avoiding fundraising obligations?
  • Holding unproductive meetings?
  • Present but unengaged?
From my experience working with more than 80 New York City area nonprofit boards, I can efficiently guide board and staff leadership in developing and implementing management structures that will lead to a more engaged and effective nonprofit board.

mission
My mission is to guide nonprofit Boards of Directors to develop the structures and procedures that will enable them to translate the skills, resources and passion of their members into an effective partnership with staff leadership.

Working collaboratively, I assist nonprofit boards in creating the structures needed to:

  • Develop a shared understanding of the leadership, oversight and support that their organizations need from them
  • Identify and create the individual expectations, board values and procedures needed to support and motivate this work
I have successfully coached the boards of more than 80 New York City area nonprofit organizations. I bring over 30 years experience in nonprofit management as a nonprofit Board President, nonprofit Manager, nonprofit Consultant and Attorney as well as the perspectives of careers in Education, Anthropology and Law.
