Managing Change

The one certainty for nonprofit organizations, is that today's realities will not be tomorrows. Organizations must be able to continually adapt to a changing operating environment. Sources of support, contractual requirements, client needs, staffing, community priorities, challenges and opportunities, are all in continual flux.

This workshop is designed to provide mangers and supervisors with tools to prepare for the unexpected and to create a working environment that welcomes, rather than resists, the need to change.

As a result of this workshop participants will be able to:

• Understand individual and organizational resistance to change
• Develop techniques to identify and anticipate environmental changes that will require response
• Create an organizational culture that is receptive to change
• Help staff to develop the skills and confidence to change
